Our semi-annual members’ meeting last week, in addition to the usual topics, was marked by the farewells of a number of club icons. Thus, the members of ms Oreade (Wim Wever – former chairman of the cooperative), ms Volharding (Fam. de Vreeze – member from its inception) and ms Confiant (Fam. Vellinga – the silent force) were put in the limelight and thanked for their commitment and loyalty, for some of them from the 1st hour. Enjoy your well-deserved rest!
We also said goodbye to Paul Cornet, who, after 17 years of being an involved board member, could no longer combine the board activities with his other duties. The chairman thanked him for his contribution, especially his sharp thinking and necessary humour, within the board. Fortunately, Paul does remain connected to our cooperative as a member (owner ms Challenger). We wish him every success!
